Report on tax debtors removed from the debtor register

The Tax Administration released an updated report on 24 July 2026 concerning the status of tax debtors who have fulfilled their outstanding obligations. According to the document, individuals and legal entities that have completely settled their tax liabilities are removed from the official list of debtors, thereby reinstating their full economic rights within the national financial system. The report details that removal is executed automatically once the competent fiscal authority confirms receipt of the final payment, including any applicable interest and penalties, and registers the transaction in the central accounting system. In addition, the notice explains that debtors who have not been removed despite full repayment may appeal the decision through an administrative procedure before the relevant tax office, presenting proof of payment and requesting reassessment. The document also highlights statistical figures indicating that, during the reporting period, several hundred taxpayers were delisted, reflecting a positive trend toward voluntary compliance. The Administration stresses the importance of maintaining accurate debtor registers for the purpose of fiscal oversight, creditor protection, and economic planning. Stakeholders are encouraged to monitor their own status via the e‑Tax portal and to promptly address any discrepancies to avoid unwarranted penalties or restrictions on business activities.
