The Tax Administration announced that, during the initial two weeks of the promotional lottery “Every invoice counts”, citizens submitted nearly 150,000 invoices for inclusion in the prize draw, as of 15 July 2026. The figure represents a substantial increase in public engagement compared with previous promotional cycles, reflecting heightened awareness of the incentive scheme and the easy accessibility of the electronic submission portal. Each submitted invoice automatically generates a unique entry identifier, which is stored in the central registry and linked to the taxpayer’s fiscal profile. The Administration highlighted that the submitted invoices comply with the technical criteria stipulated in the relevant regulations, including correct tax identification numbers, proper issue dates, and adherence to electronic formatting standards. To accommodate the large volume of entries, the system has been reinforced with additional server capacity and real‑time processing capabilities, ensuring the integrity and security of the data. The announcement also noted that the majority of participants are private individuals, while a growing number of small businesses and freelancers are also taking advantage of the promotional opportunity to verify the compliance of their invoicing practices. The incentive scheme is part of a broader strategy to promote voluntary tax compliance, improve invoice traceability, and foster a culture of fiscal responsibility among citizens. Further information regarding the selection process, prize distribution schedule, and eligibility criteria is available on the official Ministry website.
